One of the alternatives and Madrid ridden urban fashion shops is that
Camper opened in Calle de Fuencarral.
Imagination, functionality and sense of humor are the traits that define the brand's designs.
The store is realized like a blank canvas in its most literal sense:
customers can fill the white walls with their messages, drawings or ideas.
We don’t know if street art inspired Jaime Hayon in his Camper concept store project, but certainly the idea is taken from a metropolitan context:
our street are full of graffiti written on walls.
But anyone of us is often taken by a strange temptational voice inside:
<<...leave your sign on this wall and say “I’ve been here” or
“I’m alive” or... simply ..."I love you" ...>>

“The Sants” is not just a name of the main railway station in Barcelona, but is largely a living and thinking quarter.

Since working class folk lived here a lot is changed but not the spirit.
As the workforce born in Sants build the Modernista dream homes

( this area of town helped create the wonderful architecture that we so enjoy today in the centre of Barcelona)

people who live there has always something to say.

This “murales” is a civil, artistic protest against the abuse of cement and the quarter transformation really never accepted from young people.
On the wall appears clearly “ Aturem destrucciò de Sants”

i.e.=” Let’s Stop De Sants’ Destruction”

Fa’ la cosa giusta - la più importante fiera del consumo critico e degli stili di vita sostenibili - per la sua 6° edizione torna a Milano, alla Fiera Milano City dal 13 al 15 marzo, con idee, progetti, soluzioni per consumare e produrre secondo principi di sostenibilità economica, ambientale e sociale. Organizzata da "Terre di mezzo", un'esposizione di oltre 500 stand di prodotti ed economia solidale, e 110 tra convegni, approfondimenti e laboratori pratici. All'interno della Sezione speciale 2009, tutta dedicata alla "Casa che risparmia" , è allestita la II edizione di Fa' la casa giusta!

“LA CASA CHE RISPARMIA”, soluzioni per una casa eco–sostenibile, è strutturata in quattro aree:
• "Arredamento sostenibile"
• "Bio–edilizia"
• "Soluzioni e idee per il consumo consapevole di energia"
• "Esperienze di condivisione e gestione di soluzioni abitative", dal co-housing all’housing sociale.

"FA' LA CASA GIUSTA"
La mostra itinerante ideata e realizzata con "BestUp", il circuito per la promozione dell'abitare sostenibile, che raccoglie pratiche e prodotti d'eccellenza per l'abitare sostenibile, quest'anno ha come tema centrale il risparmio - di tempo, denaro energia e ambiente - da cui il titolo "RisparmiAMO".I visitatori possono muoversi all'interno di una vera e propria abitazione. Sei le stanze simbolo:
"Riduco la bolletta"
"Elimino gli sprechi (riduco, riuso e riciclo)"
"Condivido e scambio"
"Autoproduco"
"Difendo la natura e lavoro"
"Mi informo per scegliere".

Infine, "10x10. Progetto di ricerca sulla sostenibilità nel disegno industriale", 10 capolavori del design italiano dal dopoguerra a oggi saranno analizzati dal punto di vista della sostenibilità.

Barcelona 2009: March 19,20,21

Eme3 collapse is a famous Barcelona festival that for three days will bring together artists , archistects, thinkers, students but everyone of us particularly interested in the “collapse” theme .

What are new scenarios that collapse or current crisis has generated?

Paul Virilio, is an urban planner and philosopher who has devoted a lot of time to reflecting on the imminence of collapse, on the panic that the postmodern era has generated in society, the progressive acceleration of time and the velocity and multiplicity of accidents.
He writes:
‘The accident is revealing. Revealing means Apocalypse.

The Apocalypse is not the end of the world.

It is an accident of history, since it puts an end to history,

but at the same time it is a revelation.

The accident forms part of the hidden side of all substances.

Each substance has its accident.

Accordingly, progress is also the progress of accident,the progress of catastrophe.’

The festival operates as an architectural market whose structures appear in several plots of m3 (cubic metres ,hence the name of the festival, since the projects are displayed in different plots of cubic meters), urban projects, workshops, conferences, debates, street events, music and film .
Since its first edition in 1999 the festival shows a particular virtue: its interdisciplinary vocation
It’s really the opportunity to discover emerging architecture as well as to engage in debate and reflection together with architects and creators of international renown.

Leaving the subway i ask myself how Barcellona periphery could be.

The center is so clean and orderly, all seems so happy. So let' s walk . I'm going to Parc Guell,one of the Gaudì's wonders. You can feel a sense of abandonment and looking at some decadent building you will be a little sad and romantic. But even here there are beautiful buildings and streets in typical latin order.

I like to see what others do not notice...
So he's calling me...I turn and i find him ...Just few minutes for taking a photo...He's waiting for someone that could notice him.. in his quiet pose, lying on an acient balcony... Open your eyes and look at him. He seems to say " hi!! here i am...here..for the people in the street..."

Like an hidden whisper street art and poetry live in Barcellona.

MADE Expo - Milano Architettura Design Edilizia

Milano Architettura Design Edilizia ovvero MADE Expo, è una manifestazione dal respiro internazionale dedicata all'intero processo edilizio, nata in risposta a precise esigenze emerse nel settore e giunta alla seconda edizione.

Promossa da Federlegno Arredo e Uncsaal, è una fiera completa, altamente specializzata, che consente l'incontro e il dialogo tra attori e protagonisti del progetto, ad ogni scala di intervento, affrontando i diversi aspetti del settore con un approccio a 360°: dal progetto alla costruzione e gestione dell'edificio, fino alla demolizione.

Articolata in otto aree tematiche, ognuna corrispondente ad una fase del processo, che si sviluppano in singoli saloni specialistici visitabili separatamente e con approfondimenti specifici su ciascun settore.

Parallelamente alla rassegna espositiva, MADE expo propone ai visitatori un innovativo palinsesto di convegni e iniziative speciali sul progetto, sulla cultura dell'abitare e sul ruolo dell’architettura.
