The street voice

Fruit Art: " La Boquería "

The Mercado de La Boquería
in Barcelona
is one of the most important and
most visited market in Europe

There is something of magic in fruit art…that inspired a lot of painters but designers too…
You can find a lot of fruit poster that remember a fruit market.

Here we show you just some ideas on how art or inspiration can begin from real life..

In my opinion art lives in Bouqueria’s market
where people represent their daily life.
All is a unique mix of colours
and
"gaudy"...armony

A game made by equilibria...

Give a look here

Italian Genius Now. Back to Rome

"Italian Genius Now. Back to Rome"
Roma, Macro Future
fino al 13 aprile 2009

"Italian Genius Now", l’originale format espositivo tutto rigorosamente e orgogliosamente Made in Italy , che abbina design e produzione artistica contemporanea, "torna" a Roma.

You will find the web full of Luceplan advertisement..or read more on http://www.luceplan.it/ but mine is just a note...

I was walking in Milan and i found Plissè...this is like i found it in a famous city store window...

It is really suspended from two ceiling points on wire suspensions with a central ceiling rose and flex..

But i appreciated a lot Plissè just for one element: It can change its size.

There is really a double pantograph system that allows an easy extension of beam from a minimum of 60 cm to a maximum of 160 cm.

But it's like a joke: if you push it becomes smaller and smaller but if you pull it out

it's again bigger..

They invented the "Accordion-lamp "...:-))

Nice...so "Chapeau Plissè"

Graffiti in the Madrid Camper store

A.M. Bonora for D+Arch

One of the alternatives and Madrid ridden urban fashion shops is that
Camper opened in Calle de Fuencarral.
Imagination, functionality and sense of humor are the traits that define the brand's designs.
The store is realized like a blank canvas in its most literal sense:
customers can fill the white walls with their messages, drawings or ideas.
We don’t know if street art inspired Jaime Hayon in his Camper concept store project, but certainly the idea is taken from a metropolitan context:
our street are full of graffiti written on walls.
But anyone of us is often taken by a strange temptational voice inside:
<<...leave your sign on this wall and say “I’ve been here” or
“I’m alive” or... simply ..."I love you" ...>>

Barcelona Street Art: "The Sants' protest "

A.M. Bonora for D+Arch

“The Sants” is not just a name of the main railway station in Barcelona, but is largely a living and thinking quarter.
Since working class folk lived here a lot is changed but not the spirit.
As the workforce born in Sants build the Modernista dream homes
( this area of town helped create the wonderful architecture that we so enjoy today in the centre of Barcelona)
people who live there has always something to say.
This “murales” is a civil, artistic protest against the abuse of cement and the quarter transformation really never accepted from young people.
On the wall appears clearly “ Aturem destrucciò de Sants”
i.e.=” Let’s Stop De Sants’ Destruction
