MILAN DESIGN WEEK 2009
INTERNI DESIGN ENERGIES è il “grande evento” promosso da INTERNI e organizzato in una location d’eccezione: i Cortili dell’Università degli Studi di Milano (Ca’ Cranda – Ex Ospedale Maggiore).
Il let-motiv della manifestazione è l’uso dell’energia come “risorsa naturale” ma anche “espressione progettuale”: sono chiamati a confrontarsi architetti e designer italiani ed internazionali, che mostrano il loro processo creativo e sperimentale in una serie di istallazioni, sculture luminose e costruzioni temporanee che danno vita ad una grande performance collettiva, affascinante e coinvolgente.
I protagonisti sono: Fernando & Humberto Campana, Mauricio Cardenas, Mario Cucinella, Michele De Lucchi, Massimo Iosa Ghini, Marco Piva, Rudy Riciotti, Marc Sadler, Luca Trazzi, Patricia Urquiola, David Chipperfield, Jacopo Foggini, Luigi Ferrario, Carlo Colombo.

Interni’s major event is “INTERNI DESIGN ENERGIES” , in the courtyards of the Università degli Studi of Milan, Ca’ Granda-former Major Hospital ( a famous Milan medieval building) .
The exhibition sheds light on the creative process of italian and international designers and architects invited to work on the theme of the use of energy, seen as a natural resource, but also as a part of design expression. A series of installations for grand experimental, spectacular light compositions, with the active support of companies in the fields of design, architecture and with the use of new tools for energy production.
The protagonists of this “green mood”, based on commitment, responsability and visionary spirit are: Fernando & Humberto Campana, Mauricio Cardenas, Mario Cucinella, Michele De Lucchi, Massimo Iosa Ghini, Marco Piva, Rudy Riciotti, Marc Sadler, Luca Trazzi, Patricia Urquiola, David Chipperfield, Jacopo Foggini, Luigi Ferrario, Carlo Colombo.

An ideal vantage point for viewing the temporary works of architecture on display can be found at the Energy Island set up in the Loggiato on the first floor of the Cortile d’Onore: places were people can meet friends and relax and experience the most eco-emotional dimension of design.
